I see my role as a Pilates teacher to convey, encourage and facilitate the beneficial results that, with a little hard work and focus, can be achieved to enhance and sustain a positive lifestyle.

I have spent many years working in the field of complimentary medicine observing the profound results it can bring to peoples' lives.  After several years of learning and enjoying the benefits of introducing Pilates exercise into my life it has been a natural progression for me to study and train to teach the Pilates method and principles so that I  can pass on the feel good effect!

I have qualified as a Pilates Instructor with the internationally renowned teacher Alan Herdman at his London teaching school, training in body conditioning and remedial exercise.
I have previously qualified in holistic massage and anatomy and physiology ITEC.
The Pilates method and principles encompass an exercise system unlike any other....  It can be described as a unique method of body conditioning, combining a low-impact and safe approach to realign, elongate and strengthen the whole body in order to restore muscle balance and felxibility,  acquire effective breathing and core stability,  Thus preventing and relieving long standing postural aches and pains.

The exercises are increasingly recommended by general practitioners, osteopaths and physiotherapists as an effective treatment for just about everyone regardless of age and fitness level to assist recovery from illness, injury or surgery.  Through the mindful connection with the body during the movements, a natural, flowing balance is restored, improving energy and physical health.
